THE OPPORTUNITY:
A recognized public accounting firm seeks to engage Chartered Accountants who have recently obtained their Canadian designation or those close to completion.
Our client offers a mentoring environment suitable to new CAs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan engagements, prepare budgets, prepare work programmes, research certain technical issues, and prepare draft financial statements and management letters.
Report progress of engagement to the manager.
Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for supervision of the daily fieldwork - engagements and client contact.
Provide on-the-job training to Staff and Junior Accountants.
Review corporate and personal tax returns.
Prepare specialized/complex corporate and personal tax returns.
Conduct tax research.
Prepare memorandums summarizing findings.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of an accredited college/university programme majoring in Accounting.
Certified CA or designation in progress.
3 to 5 years experience in a Canadian CA Firm.
COMPENSATION:
65K to 80K, commensurate with experience.
