Gabriel Bouchard, President

Gabriel is responsible for the vision and business strategy behind Workopolis, Canada’s leading provider of Internet recruitment and job-search solutions.


His vast knowledge and industry insight is invaluable in improving Workopolis’ overall value proposition and commitment to being Canada’s recruitment solution provider.

Gabriel joined Workopolis in 2008 as Vice President, Strategic Planning, bringing with him more than 14 years of experience in the North-American online recruitment industry. Gabriel was the founder of Monster.ca, where he served as Vice-President and General Manager, and also part of Monster’s North American executive team. Prior to that, he was the Vice-President of Marketing at TMP Worldwide, a leading recruitment advertising agency. He also led the advertising and promotions function at Radio-Québec (now Télé-Québec) and worked with BCP Strategy Creativity Inc., a large advertising agency in Quebec.

Among his credentials Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and was a finalist at the Quebec Marketing Association Marketing Personality of the Year contest.



Debra Chapman, Vice President, Consulting Services

Debra and her team provide consulting services designed to help Workopolis’ customers develop talent acquisition strategies and improve their overall recruitment performance. For the past 9 years, Debra held the role of Vice President of Sales at Workopolis.


She brings more than 20 years of sales and sales management experience to the Workopolis leadership team, with the past 10 years focused on the online media world.

Debra is a member of the IAB Canada and SCNetwork (Toronto chapter) and holds a BA in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Toronto.



Steven Picco, Vice President, Sales

Steven leads a team that delivers a bilingual suite of recruitment solutions to Canadian organizations. He is responsible for the planning and development of sales plans and strategies to improve relationships with customers and increase sales volume and profitability for the full suite of Workopolis products and services.


He possesses vast experience in consumer packaged goods, and mobile telecommunications, and has worked for such organizations as Rogers, Fido Solutions Inc. and Procter & Gamble Inc.

Steven studied at St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with majoring in Marketing.



David Resnick, Vice President, Corporate Development and Niche

David is responsible for driving Workopolis’ long-term growth through strategic planning, business intelligence, and business development initiatives including partnerships and acquisitions. He also heads the Workopolis product and service development roadmap, from both the consumer and customer perspectives.


Before Workopolis, David was focused on corporate growth, operations and marketing strategy as a consultant at Monitor Group. His experience spans three continents and more than 15 industries, with clients ranging from entrepreneurial startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.

David holds an HBA and MBA from the University of Western Ontario.



Andrea Garson, Vice President, Human Resources and Administration

Andrea is responsible for driving strategy and supporting initiatives to attract, motivate, develop and retain the best talent which will enable Workopolis to achieve its financial and corporate goals. As well, as a senior human resources professional, she contributes to the strategic development of Workopolis’ products and services for employers.


Andrea has more than 15 years HR generalist experience and before joining Workopolis, held senior HR roles at Dell Canada Inc., The Pepsi Bottling Group, Loblaw’s and The Halifax Herald Ltd. She has led strategies in organizational and cultural development, employee education and development and employee relations, compensation and benefits.

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science and a MBA from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia.



Joseph Wilke, Vice President, Finance

Joseph is responsible for driving overall financial and business strategy for Workopolis. He leads the finance team in providing financial and operational-related solutions for Workopolis. He possesses extensive hands-on financial, operational and managerial experience as well as a proven track record of delivering financial and business expertise.


Prior to joining Workopolis, Joseph spent 14 years at Loblaw Companies Limited in Finance positions of increasing responsibility, starting as an Internal Auditor and ending as the Senior Vice President, Financial reporting and Control. Joseph worked with the public accounting and consulting firms of Ernst and Young and Grant Thorton before joining Loblaw.

He is a Chartered Accountant, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo.



Mario Bottone, Vice President, Marketing

As the leader of the Marketing, Product Management and Business Intelligence teams, Mario is responsible for building the candidate and employer engagement strategies for Workopolis. He enjoys the company’s fast-paced environment where the day-to-day is not always predictable but the rewards are gratifying when you get it right.


Before joining Workopolis, Mario worked for Monster Worldwide, as Vice President of Marketing Canada and Vice President of Marketing North America. He also worked in a VP capacity with MSDS Solutions and Momentum Business Solutions, as well as an Assistant Marketing Professor/Lecturer at McGill University in Montreal.

In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree, Mario also holds a MBA from McGill University.



Frank Fortino, Vice President, Operations

Frank leads the day-to-day execution of Workopolis’ corporate strategy through key operational teams including the national support team, the services team and the project management office. Frank also drives the vision and execution of Workopolis’ internal systems and “voice of the customer” strategy.


Before joining Workopolis, Frank spent four years as VP of Operations and Business Development at a leading provider of Enterprise Resource Planning, Warehouse Management, GPS Fleet Management and CRM solutions. During his 11+ years in the IT products, services, software development, project management and consulting arenas, Frank held positions of increasing responsibility at GE Capital where he designed and implemented a web-based business portal that was adopted globally by GE.

Frank holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto and has benefitted from years of training in GE management and leadership philosophy at the prestigious John F. Welch Leadership Center in Crotonville, New York.

He has earned a number of industry awards including the CIO Magazine ITX Award (1997), the Canadian Information Productivity Award (CIPA)(1998), President’s Club Value Award (1998), People's Choice Award - Best Internet Solution (2000), President's Award - Drive Customer Focus (2001) and Leadership Award - Highest Contribution Margin (2002).



Matthieu Delorme, Vice President, Technology

As the head of technology at Workopolis, Matthieu leads both the “Information Systems” and “Infrastructure” teams and is responsible for providing the best technology solutions available to all our site users. He is dedicated to refining Workopolis’ technological roadmap and for maintaining its leading-edge technology.


With more than 23 years of IT experience, including 12 years as a manager in computer operations and development, Matthieu has done stints in the engineering, finance and Internet sectors.

Prior to joining Workopolis, Matthieu was the Chief Technology Officer at Gesca Digital, where he was in charge of operations and development at Cyberpresse, as well as collaborating to ensure optimal technology at Gesca’s subsidiaries in the digital field. His other past positions include Director of Application Infrastructure for CGI, in charge of accommodation at Netgraphe and Mid-range Servers Director at IBM.

More recently, Matthieu acts as a speaker for the Montreal CIO Convention.
