The award-winning Hospital has proudly served the diverse, multi-cultural population of South East Toronto since 1929. TEGH offers an extensive range of ambulatory, inpatient and community-based programs and services delivered by 2,600 employees and 400 physicians and midwives. Each year, TEGH cares for nearly 20,000 inpatients, delivers close to 3,500 babies and has more than 60,000 emergency visits and 215,000 outpatient visits. Its 515 inpatient beds are comprised of acute care, rehabilitation, mental health and complex continuing care. TEGH is also affiliated with many educational institutions including, the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine.
