AMEC Earth & Environmental is recruiting an Intermediate/Senior Environmental Technologist with experience in conducting environmental site assessment and remediation projects to be located in our St. John's, NL office.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and coordinate field sampling programs involving utility locates, geophysical surveys, drilling and test pitting contractors, remediation and liaison with chemical laboratories
- Supervise and direct field sampling programs involving drilling boreholes, excavating test pits, removal of underground storage tanks and groundwater monitoring
- Maintaining field instrumentation and organizing field supplies
- Management of field data and assisting in the preparation of technical reports
- Participation and collaboration with other offices and staff on larger, multi-disciplinary projects
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized post-secondary environmental program with a Diploma in Environmental Science or Engineering Technology or related field;
- Acquired or designation as a C.E.T. or equivalent;
- 2 to 10 years of experience in an environmental capacity with related site assessment and remediation experience
- Effective written and oral communication skills with the drive to advance these skills through coaching and demonstrate a strong commitment to technical excellence
- Career focused with a commitment to advance within a multidisciplinary organization
