AMEC Earth & Environmental is recruiting a
Senior Environmental Engineer/Scientist with experience in conducting environmental site assessment and remediation projects to be located in our Dartmouth, NS office.
Responsibilities:
- Environmental project engineering related to phased environmental site assessments, site remediation, and risk assessments
- Project management, coordination and direction of project team activities and direction of junior project staff
- Prepare and present proposals and reports
- Develop clients in both private and public sectors
- Provide senior technical oversight and review
Qualifications:
- A degree in environmental engineering, geology, or hydrogeology or relevant science degree
- 10-15 years experience within the environmental industry
- A strong technical background, proven project execution, effective business development, and client relationship development skills
- Ability to direct and mentor staff with a focus on teamwork, on a wide range of projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to successfully market environmental consulting services
- Licensed to practice as a professional engineer or geoscientist in Nova Scotia, or eligible to be licensed within six months
- Valid driver's license and flexibility for occasional travel
