Our client, a Northern Canada based Energy and Utilities Company is actively searching for a Vice President of Operations & Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITY
This position will have responsibility for providing strategic direction and leadership to the President & CEO in planning and directing departmental goals, objectives and programs relating to engineering, operations, health, safety and environment programs, policies, procedures and capital budgeting to meet the needs of the Corporation. To perform at the Senior Management level as a member of the Management Committee in developing and directing Corporate goals, financial and business plans, and strategies to ensure the effective planning and delivery of programs and services to achieve the Corporate mandate.
REQUIREMENTS
· A university degree or college diploma in engineering, business administration, commerce or other discipline related to an electrical utility with several years of experience in a leadership role in an electrical utility company.
· A multidisciplinary environment and acquired knowledge and skills through work experience in associated areas of science, engineering, or management.
· Solid management track record with specific accomplishments in directing capital engineering design and construction, and strategic planning to direct programs and to provide effective recommendations as a member of the executive team.
· A high level of understanding of current engineering principles and trends in the electric utility industry.
