Our client has a need for a Process Chemical Engineer who will have responsibility for assuring that the manufacturing operation performs to the full extent of its' capabilities and that the products and processes provide competitive manufacturing costs and superior quality. Areas of focus for this role will include: improving internal process/quality systems, monitoring cost of quality and ensuring corrective actions are effective, in addition to providing training and support on process control lean manufacturing and other improvement initiatives. The successful candidate should have experience in project management and process engineering gained in the chemical or pulp and paper industry. To be considered for this role you will possess an undergraduate degree in engineering, experience with six sigma tools would be a definite asset. Candidates must be willing to work flex shift to support this 24/7 operation and who is able to help cover shifts for vacation relief.
