Our client is a leader in food processing and packaging industry and is looking for Industrial Engineer / Industrial Engineering Technologist for their facility in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada
The ideal candidate will have completed post secondary training in Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 3-4 years experience in the manufacturing environment; preferably consumer goods. You would be responsible for various projects related to continuous improvement measures related to plant equipment and labour standards. You will conduct several time studies related to labour standards, material utilization, process optimization for performance management and product costing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct time studies to set up labour and equipment standards to improve efficiencies, product cost and improve manufacturing process
- Investigate manufacturing process to reduce costs.
- Optimal utilization of the equipment
- Support new product launch and conduct time studies for labour and equipment costs
- Support Six Sigma projects on productivity improvement projects.
- Provide problem solving and troubleshooting support to the manufacturing floor.
- Capacity analysis for the manufacturing facility
Key Requirements:
- 3-4 years experience in Industrial engineering doing time studies
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to make decisions and bring change
- Experience in the food, consumer goods industry is an asset.
- Verbal and written French communication skills preferred
