Mobile Telecommunications Switch Engineer - Bermuda

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join the technical services team of a leading mobile telecommunication provider in Bermuda.
Requirements include:
- BS Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent technical competence
- At least 3 years of experience working on Ericsson mobile core networks
- Strong experience on Ericsson HLR/MSC/MGW/RNC/BSC 2G & 3G networks, interfaces, protocols and charging systems
- Strong troubleshooting and project management skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities will include:
- Design, operation, maintenance and support of Ericsson 2G and 3G core network
- Provide end-to-end technical support for customer networks
- Responsible for overall performance of the Core and Applications elements
- Organize and participate in pilot and roll-out upgrades and patch installations
- Staff development, training and knowledge transfer
- Consult with customers regarding optimization, planning, feature activations, and other improvements
- Maintenance & supervision of SLA's with vendors for all equipment
- Provide Engineering support to all other departments
- Provide feedback on network performance, keeping updated documentation network events and system configurations
- On-call support for after hours outages & planned events as required
This position requires relocating to Bermuda for an initial term of 2 years therefore applicants should be highly portable, able to relocate in a relatively short timeframe, and be adaptable to new living environments such as Bermuda.
