ROLE SUMMARY:
As a Financial Analyst - Corporate Finance you are responsible of financial accounting and compliance activities related to two management reporting companies. You will be also providing financial analyses and accounting support to colleagues and business partners as required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributor of technical know-how and energy to achieve optimal performance and best-in-class financial reporting results.
Examples of specific responsibilities include:
Support the preparation and submission of Corporate financial information
Ensure key S-Ox controls are executed timely and adequately
Completion of account reconciliations and reasonability analyses
Perform fixed asset transactions in SAP
Allocate costs to appropriate cost centers
Process journal entries and prepare adequate backup to support
Retrieving, sorting and analyzing financial data from SAP
Generate management reports
Prepare Statistic Canada reporting
Assist S-Ox team and Senior Analysts with preparation of internal control documentation and the completion of tests of controls. Identify opportunities to strengthen the company's control environment and introduce new internal controls.
Assist Senior Analyst Corporate Finance in the interpreting of new accounting developments, providing recommended courses of action and disseminating information as necessary.
Developing good working relationships with other Finance team members and readily assisting them when possible to foster a teamwork approach.
Liaise between various functions (i.e. finance, operations, customer care, etc) providing. required information, answering questions and collecting information required for metric reporting.
Shows initiative by helping others as well as anticipates work that needs to be completed and completes it without being asked by a Manager or Senior Analyst and with minimal supervision.
