Our client, a leading nationally recognized environmental science consulting firm has created an opportunity to a key business leadership position within the organizational structure. The successful candidate will can carry out VP level responsibilities in building, environmental quality and engineering Services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the engineering and environmental services across the company and the role will collaborate with technical and business managers to grow the services under their direction. Portfolio file will include Building Science services, Engery Management services, Environmental Services and Sustainability Services. The incumbent will be held accountable to develop, define and refine the overall growth strategies and direction of the team. Growth in work volume and profit oriented results will be a key measure of success for this role along with overall development of technical capabilities.
Responsibilities:
· Grow the overall business through sales and marketing for existing and new clients.
· Communicate effectively with senior level contacts to develop new business with existing clients.
· Lead a client oriented and integrated total solution approach to the services under his/her responsibility.
· Co-ordinate the engagement of multiple service areas for large clients or projects where multiple services are involved.
· Initiate and lead company-wide focus groups to continually improve services.
· Increase profitability through effective utilization and deployment of staff in all service areas.
· Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for these service areas
· Contribute ideas and decisions as an Executive Committee member on strategy.
· Collaborate with other business line leaders in the company to promote the optimization of key client relationships and strategies.
· Meet or exceed defined business line performance as outlined in annual and long term business plans.
Qualifications:
· Professional Engineer with a minimum 10 - 20 years experience consulting experience
· Established network of institutional, commercial and industrial facilities
· Comprehensive understanding of Ontario and Canadian environmental regulations
· Generate growth and development and implementation of business strategy
· Manage a staff of 50 or more
Compensation will be competitive, comprehensive and commensurate with experience.
