SUMMARY OF ROLE
Responsible for departmental data gathering and management, analysis and variance reporting. Manage the data and support the users of the information system to translate the information in actionable items.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSABILITY
Responsible to produce the reports in a timely manner (on a tight schedule) and for the data integrity and accuracy. Delays and/or errors in reports could have an impact on key decision-making, daily operations planning (could have an impact on operation costs) and/or customer satisfaction (turnaround). Improve and develop reporting processes and tools of the key drivers of activity and performance.
Manage and maintain the information databases by keeping them in good working order and insuring its integrity, accuracy and security (having a complete knowledge of the database structure and rules).
Integrate current environment and reports to new business intelligence architecture. Work closely with the other department (ISIT) to implement new database structures and queries to fulfill new reporting requirements without impacting daily activities and to resolve daily problems that might occur.
Investigate management needs in reports across the organization, recommend, implement, produce, improve reporting package. Responsible for the production of all pertinent reports, performance indicators used as departmental scorecards.
Train business users on data interpretation and provide a consulting function to the various units.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS
  • DEC in computer sciences/related or Bachelor's degree in quantitative studies or business-related discipline.
  • Proven experience (3-6 years) with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, db2), SQL language, Microsoft Excel, Vision Excel, Microsoft Access, PHP, HTML and javascript.
  • Experience with Sharepoint Services and DotNet is a nice to have.
  • Experience in documenting data flows and business requirements.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates teamwork aptitudes through core values such as integrity, openness, and respect.
