This position is a shift position located at the base plant of the Suncor's Oil Sands operation. Work duties are primarily in the field.
Key Accountabilities:
. Work with a team to monitor the performance of very large dyke structures and supervise geotechnical drilling programs.
Qualification Requirements:
. Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction monitoring, drilling, or in the installation and reading of slope inclinometers, piezometers, and other dyke monitoring instrumentation
. Membership or eligibility for ASET would be considered an asset
. Excellent working skills in Microsoft Word and Excel software
. Candidates with a High School Diploma and at least 10 years of relevant experience may also be considered for this position

. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with others at various levels within the company
. Motivated, self starter who can work well independently or within a team environment
. An effective communicator with the ability to develop positive working relations across a multitude of business units
