We are looking for a dynamic Chief Mechanical Material Handling Engineer for our client. They are a large Engineering Consulting firm with several locations throughout Canada.
This position will be based in Edmonton, Alberta.
The successful candidate will be working on a very exciting project. You will need to travel to South America from time to time.
The ideal candidate will have:
- You have B. Sc or M. Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- You must have P. Eng designation
- You have about 15 - 20 years experience
- You have knowledge of iron ore material handling systems, conveyors, hoppers, crushers, screens, etc.
- You have managerial / supervisory experience
- You are very good at planning and resourcing
- You have demonstrated excellent leadership skills
- You are a highly motivated professional
- You are very good at mentoring, guiding and motivating your team
- You can lead a team of about 7 - 10 Engineers
- You are very much of a team player
- You have much experience with managing successful projects
- You can deliver projects on time and within budget
- You will need to travel to South America from time to time
- Hence some knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese will be considered an asset.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
