Located in Markham, Ontario, Johnson & Johnson Medical Products, a division of Johnson & Johnson Inc., markets wound management and infection prevention products including sutures, internal and skin staplers, surgical instruments, endoscopic instruments for less invasive surgery and orthopedic implants. The company also produces a full range of women's health devices and devices used by interventional cardiologists and radiologists to treat cardiovascular disease. Johnson & Johnson Medical Products also provides a general-purpose sterilizer for heat- and moisture-sensitive devices.
We currently are recruiting for a Hernia Specialist located in Toronto- Hernia at Ethicon for a 12 month contract. Ethicon Products is a worldwide leader in suture products and suture technology and is one of the most recognizable and well-respected brand names in the hospital environment.
The Sales Reprensative will deliver sales of Ethicon Hernia Mesh Solutions in Toronto and surrounding area.
is responsible for attainment of sales/market share objectives, execution of national/regional/local promotional activities and programs for assigned products/therapeutic areas, effective territory management, operating within assigned territory budget, and adherence to assigned administrative duties. Additionally, the Sales Representative must provide feedback on customers, promotional programs, and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace. The Sales Representative with members of the regional sales team to improve performance and enhance morale, interact with sales and marketing management to refine product and market initiatives, call on existing and prospective customers, provide product information and quotes appropriate customer prices, develop new accounts and grow existing accounts within established geographic territory.

Qualifications

A minimum of a University Degree in business, statistics or health sciences is preferred. Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated leadership is required. A strong business sense and consulting skills are required. The individual must be an excellent collaborator and problem solver who demonstrates a strong ability to take initiatives and be creative this is required. A minimum of two years of professional hosiptal based sales experience and operation room setting is required. Experience with general surgery and/or hernia repair products is an asset. Ability to quickly understand and develop product knowledge is a must.
