Position: Audiologist
Site: Branson
Department: Audiology
Reports To: Clinical Coordinator X-ray/Mammography/ENT & Audiology
Hours: 1.0 FTE, days, 8 hour shifts
Status: Full Time Temporary - Approximately 1 year
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide effective and efficient patient care for individuals presented with hearing disorders and perform a variety of Audiological testing and treatment as per department needs. All roles are essential in providing a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and others by ensuring that health and safety policies are followed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited Audiology Masters Program or equivalent.
- Registration with Eligible College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario. New graduates who are eligible for registration in the immediate future are welcome to apply.
- Experience with a paediatric population preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Current knowledge of a wide range of audiological disorders.
- Demonstrated clinical and aural (re) habilitative experience.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency with basic hearing test battery for all ages.
- Knowledge of auditory brainstem testing and otoacoustic emissions.
- Ability to work with children and infants a necessity.
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides patient care in accordance with Hospital and professional standards and ethics.
- Provides identification, assessment, interpretation, diagnosis, management and education to referred patients.
- Works within a multidisciplinary framework.
