Job Description: 

Lead and oversee IT program activities for the E2E Program, under Insurance Service & Operations, which will cover development of IT related enhancements, new software and hardware implementation across multiple IT verticals to meet the E2E requirements. Ensures IT deliverables to the Program are accomplished within approved funding, timeframes and scope.

All responsibilities carried out in accordance with Code of Conduct, RBC Values and Guiding Principles ensuring adherence to Privacy principles.

Key Accountabilities: 

Primary Responsibilities:

Program Management:
? Direct the overall design, development and implementation of multiple concurrent projects, meeting the objectives of the E2E Program.
? Direct the storage and management of requirements documentation, technical and business architectures and test cases.
? Direct the implementation of new vendor software solutions as required.
? Lead and co-ordinates 14 IT projects in 2010, with impact across the Insurance business.
? Lead and coordinate synergies across the program by consolidating requirements, changes in project structures and reuse of components.
? Champions strong Program governance across the IT community delivering to the program, in keeping with the overall E2E Program Governance Framework. Works with the Program Director to integrate IT reporting with the Program.
? Creates IT related metrics and manages with a higher level of information i.e. at the trends and management indicator level; differentiates between project and program metrics.
? Anticipates and quantifies tactical, operational and strategic risks applying risk-based approach to forecasting.
? Promotes innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implements best practices.
? Resolves ambiguity


Planning & Strategy
? Develop work objectives and expectations for all IT E2E program functions
? Oversees creation of IT project plans and manages performance against plan for projects anchored with E2E
? Directs Solution Architecture priorities
? Oversees the overall strategy for Testing and Release Management for all E2E business projects and IT sub projects in line with the Insurance QA function.
? Ensure the Data Management strategies and development initiatives are aligned with the E2E projects.


Relationships & Communication
? Develop and maintain strong relationships with all E2E team members, stakeholders and sponsors.
? Consistently reinforce Program methodologies across all E2E projects.
? Collaborates with colleagues across the organization to get things done.
? Communicate progress through E2E Steering Committee and regularly scheduled meetings with IT Executives and their staff.
? To ensure that appropriate planning, co-ordination and co-operation across all IT groups takes place to bring about the successful implementation of the E2E Program.
