THE OPPORTUNITY:
A national chain with significant growth plans seeks to hire capable Merchandisers and Assistant Managers for opportunities in the Charlottetown area.
After a short period of training you will be assigned your own store and be in a position to impact on results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maximize sales and margin dollars.
Ensure store is merchandised to maximize sales.
Ensure loss prevention procedures are in place.
Ensure staffing is appropriate to the level of sales and that the store team is motivated.
You have some supervisory experience leading a store team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum two years in a full time retail position as a merchandiser, assistant manager or similar position.
Confident in your ability to be a Store Manager.
You are well organized.
You are a take charge individual.
Experience in hard goods is preferred. Drug store or supermarket background. Perhaps you worked for a Biway or Bargain Harolds in the past. You may have been a full time department head in a Canadian Tire, a Bargain Shop or a Zellers.
Most importantly, you have a passion for retail, the drive to build successful retail teams and the stamina to work 45 to 50 hours per week.
COMPENSATION:
Competitive and commensurate with experience.
