Junior Auditor
Are you a AFE Finalist or have just succesfully completed it?

Chances are, you are at the beginning stages of your career so you have the independence and flexibility to consider a position that involves travel (10-20%). Here is your chance to travel throughout Alberta and meet a variety of people in a variety of businesses and institutions.
As an Auditor, you will be constantly challenged to demonstrate your ability to think strategically in order to achieve the overall objectives of the audit project and the office. You should be comfortable to work on multiple assignments simultaneously. Some of your responsibilities include:

Planning the Audit Project, assist with identifying audit issues and risk, both for attest and systems audits.

Execution of the Audit Project , document and evaluate internal controls and work with the Manager to modify the audit plan as required.
Ensure that appropriate evidence is gathered and properly documented to support the recommendations. Ensure that the file is completed, which includes evaluating conclusions and providing recommendations, explaining actual time variances from budget and completing job appraisals.

Reporting on the Audit Project, notify other audit teams of findings which would impact their audit; prepare exit conference recommendations. Draft the management letter.
The Requirements:

Successfully completed the Uniform Final Exam (UFE), or is a finalist;

Experience that includes planning and executing financial statement audit engagements;

A strong understanding of GAAP and the ability to assess the appropriateness of accounting policies and proposed solutions;

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;

Superb communication skills, both verbal and written.
