Cost Accountant

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Ensure general ledger accounts reconcile to perpetual inventory records
• Generate and report monthly valuation of inventory and ensure its accuracy
• Analyze Standard Costs on a regular basis and highlight issues to Operations Controller
• Analyze manufacturing costs and variances - assist Operations in explanations of variances
• Analyze projects to ensure all projects have been costed
• Understand and responsible for the maintenance of the financial integrations
• Conduct cycle count audits on a regular basis to ensure procedures are followed in order to ensure accuracy of perpetual records and to assist in the year end physical inventory
• Analyze the controls in manufacturing procedures and recommend improvements as needed
• Analyze inventory reports and recommend inventory provisions
• Assist with monthly forecast & annual budget process

Your skills and experience include:

• Completion of a degree in Economics, Business or Finance
• CA, CMA, CGA designation or in the final stages of obtaining such
• Minimum of 3 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing high-tech environment
• Knowledge of general and cost accounting principals and practices
• Knowledge of ERP financial integrations
• SAP experience would be beneficial
