Job Description:
Our client is a pan-Canadian legal firm offering services in all fields of law. To respond to the needs of its clients, it is seeking a tax lawyer to work in its downtown Montreal office.

To better meet clients' needs, it is seeking a lawyer with at least six years relevant experience to join the tax team. Among the responsibilities of this position, you will be called upon to play a consulting role to a clientelle composed of well-established Canadian companies, sole proprietor companies, private individuals, accounting firms and foreign companies. You will be involved in the internal and commercial aspects of tax planning and implementation, deal with questions regarding revenue taxation, consumer tax, and participate in Canadian and international corporate tax files. You will also have the opportunity to counsel clients in matters of safeguarding inheritance and its transmission to future generations, and you will familiarize them with trusts and other aspects of succession planning.
