Job Description

TITLE: Accounts Payable Specialist  

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: 3 Months + 

CITY: Toronto 

SALARY: $16.00/hr+ 



Job Responsibilities:
  •  Full cycle Accounts Payable

  • Multi-currency

  • Expenses and wire payments

  • Work with the vendors to ensure invoices are accurate (name, address, proper tax numbers, etc.)

  • Reconciliations

  • Reviews AP system batches to ensure data entry and vendor accuracy

  • Maintain AP batch filing in an accurate, orderly and timely manner

  • Prepares daily and periodic reports as requested

  • Assist in the AP System Month End Process and Cheque Runs

  • Other AP duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  •  Must have a minimum of 2+ years experience with a good knowledge of full cycle Accounts Payable invoice and purchase order processes

  • Must have very good attention to detail with fast & accurate data entry skills

  • Must be able to multi-task

  • Must have strong trouble shooting & analysis skills

  • Must have good time management skills and able to meet departmental deadlines

  • Must have intermediate skills in MS Office (excel and word) and Outlook

  • Must be able to effectively communicate (both verbal and written)

  • Must be a proven team player with positive attitude

  • Must have experience with Great Plains
