Our client, an engineering consulting company that specializes in geo-environmental, geotechnical, environmental, and hydrogeological consulting services for private and public sector organizations, is currently seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist for their office in Saskatchewan.
The successful candidate will be in a managerial role and direct a wide variety of physical and contaminant hydrogeology projects. The Senior Hydrogeologist will be responsible for designing and conducting field investigations, and for working with various departments in our client's Saskatchewan office as well as their other western Canadian offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a wide variety of physical and contaminant hydrogeology projects including mine dewatering projects, tailings pond assessments, injection and well testing, aquifer evaluation, stratigraphic interpretation, environmental impact assessments (for the resource industry), water supply work, and groundwater modeling.
Be involved with contaminant project work, including investigation, characterization, and remediation of contaminated sites.
Act as a regulatory liaison.
Conduct groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling.
REQUIREMENTS:
Possess a degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, or other related discipline.
Post-graduate degree is considered an asset.
Be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGS.
Minimum five years of relevant industry or consulting experience at a senior project management level.
Formal project management training is considered an asset.
Willingness to work on field assignments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organization and time management abilities.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and initiative.
