Travel Consultant

Adecco Employment Services is seeking a professional and specialist in the travel industry to work as a Travel Consultant for one of the biggest retail stores. Reporting to the Travel Manager you would be responsible to sell, process and coordinate full service travel products at the best value to the customer. This position requires a tourism diploma or at least 1 year relevant working experience, a positive, upbeat, driven individual.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Determining customer needs and then providing the appropriate information and guidance
-Closing the sale and processing the necessary information
-Communicating with suppliers to collect and exchange information regarding hotels/resorts/airline/Schedules/travel packages;
-Advising the customer of appropriate restrictions, terms and conditions of travel services;
-Selling travel insurance;
-Completing client files, reservation information, payment details and following proper accounting requirements;
-Completing related reports such as bank deposits, bank deposit reports, print register menus, agency sales reports, etc;
-Gathering and reporting weekly sales information to Travel Manager; and
-Following up on customer inquiries in a timely manner.

Requirements include:
-Demonstrated experience and skill with the travel Industry and community-based networking efforts are vital to this role.
-Exhibit strong computer skills, excellent customer service skills and take action to resolve customer complaints promptly
-Effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organizational, prioritization skills are necessary.
-Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members is required.
-Flexibility and adaptability as well as proven self-motivation and interpersonal skills are necessary.
