Staff Accountant (#179870)

Our client is a major Canadian company in the manufacturing industry. They are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant who can analyze and communicate costs in order to help increase profitability. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant must have strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Duties
. Maintain costing systems
. Prepare accurate statistical, financial, and accounting reports
. Prepare journal entries
. Responsible for all accounts receivables and accounts payables
. Assist with period closing through the complete process for determining departmental budgets
. Review actual vs. expected budgets
. Ad hoc reporting
. Manage invoices including deleting or reversal and distributing for approval
. Follow all Health and Safety regulations and procedures
. Understand the Environmental Policy
. Knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO9002, QS9000)

Requirements
. Experience in accounting
. University degree in Business or Accounting
. CMA / CGA designation or finalist


Skills:

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS (Must Have)
