TES is currently hiring Pipeline Inspectors for work in Ontario (multiple locations). The ideal candidate will have valid GPI Certification.
This is a multitask inspection role reporting to the Senior Inspector. Work includes welding, radiography, fabrication, tie-ins, water-course, foreign utility and highway crossings, electrical, coating, civil, lower-in, blasting, station related activities and clean up. You will be responsible for weld procedure compliance monitoring, so you must be able to test welders, ensure materials compatibility with the approved Joining Program, and monitor the NDE acceptance process
To be considered for this job, you must have 3 years experience in construction of steel pipelines and related services. You must also have a solid understanding in the interpretation of construction contracts including drawings, specifications, codes, standards and related agency and industry regulations. You must be Weld Inspector certified to CSA W178.2 Level 1 with 2 years welding inspection experience or alternately 5 years related pipe and competent weld inspection experience and suitable references. In addition, you should have a Journeyman Welder Certification with a minimum of 5 years pipeline and related materials management experience. You must have a working knowledge of the NEB On-Shore Pipeline Regulations, CSA Z662 and ASME B31-1 codes. GPI Certification preferred.
