Personal Banking Representative, PC Financial, In-Store Sales

Business Unit Description:
Retail Markets provides a full range of financial products and services to almost 11 million personal, business and wealth clients, as well as investment management services globally to retail and institutional clients.

CIBC Retail Markets has a broad distribution network serving clients through close to 1,100 branches, as well as CIBC Wood Gundy offices and President's Choice Financial in-store pavilions. Clients also have 24/7 access to telephone banking, online and mobile banking and online brokerage, as well as to Canada's second largest ABM network.

Amicus Bank is an internet bank that integrates financial services through a network of partners. Amicus Bank offers customers a better way to do their banking by offering no-fee day-to-day banking, great rates and superior service. Customers can save time by doing their banking through a variety of channels - internet, phone or bank machine.


Relevant Job Criteria:
- Flexible to work 22.5 hours per week
- MUST be willing to work a flexible work schedule including days, evenings and weekend shifts to cover pavilion hours of operations 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
- MUST be mobile to travel within the city of Kelowna and surrounding areas on an occasional basis
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing and shifting priorities and demands
- Standing for extended periods

As our ideal candidate, you enjoy selling and providing customer service within a retail environment. The type of person who isn't afraid to approach potential customers in the grocery aisle, you will take pride in introducing customers to a unique way of banking, proactively promoting, selling and delivering a wide range of banking products/services. Confident and enthusiastic, you will feel the thrill of closing a deal, as you achieve aggressive sales targets by recognizing sales opportunities, and by analyzing and interpreting customer inquiries to identify needs.

At President's Choice Financial we offer a competitive compensation package and we pay for performance! As a Personal Banking Representative, in addition to your base salary, you can earn $5,300 per year in incentives for meeting all of your performance goals. High performers can earn much more. At PCF, your earning potential is unlimited!


Requirements:
CIFC (either Canadian Investment Funds or Investment Funds Canada) or CSC required by six months from start date

A proven track record in sales
An outgoing and enthusiastic personality that thrives on proactive selling in a retail sales environment
Results orientation and time management skills
The ability to deal with unresponsive clients in a professional manner
Strong influencing and negotiating skills to confidently analyze needs and recommend the appropriate product offer, overcome objections and close the sale
Strong communication skills and self-management skills
A high comfort level working in a PC Windows environment

Preference will be given to applicants possessing 1 year or more of sales experience in the retail and/or financial industry.
