Instrument and Control Engineer - Senior - 18722 (#26117)Our Edmonton client requires a Senior Level Instrument and Control Engineer.
This position is responsible for the management of engineering, design, and construction processes for various company projects.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for project being completed within financial and schedule constraints, as well as being in compliance with regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements.
- Accountable for the quality, cost, scope and schedules of all work performed by consultants and contractors.
- Accountable to ensure compliance with Project Procedures, design standards (including providing recommendations for improvements), regulatory requirements and leads coordination of project regulatory and right of way permitting applications.
- Responsible for design reviews, material requisition reviews, operating and control philosophies.
- Responsible for coordination and execution of supporting documentation as it relates to PLC programming development, MBS and Leak Detection, and SCADA.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement to support SORT and START reviews, Commissioning and Operations turnover.
- Responsible for application software testing and acceptance by the project, stakeholders, Control Center Operations and Field Operations.
- Responsible for ensuring that throughout the execution process, a high level of communications is maintained with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for providing monthly project management reporting on all assigned projects, and compliance with Project Management procedures and processes.
- Responsible for working effectively within the Projects team structure.
Qualifications:
- A Professional Instrumentation and or Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience that includes a minimum of 4 years project experience and 1 year of leadership experience respectively or a related degree with extensive demonstrated experience in managing projects involving a number of internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of financial and administrative processes as well as human resources management.
- Good leadership, project management, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
- A good collaborative work style.
- Ability to travel and work throughout North America.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
