Position Specifics

Position Purpose: Shelf Maintenance Associates (SMA), are an integral part of The Home Depotâ?Ts ability to maintain high customer service and presentation standards in support of being in-stock everyday, managing inventory and enriching the customer experience. The SMA is responsible for daily Price Change/Labeling activities, Cycle Counting, On-Hand Maintenance and overall Shelf Maintenance. The SMA reports to the Night Operations Manager where applicable or alternatively to the Fulfillment Assistant Manager Store Manager. Position Responsibilities: We're looking for the type of associates who can tap into their inner orange by: .Ensuring price change execution and store price integrity .Ensuring appropriate labels are placed accurately and efficiently throughout the store environment e.g. displays, clipstrips, etc. .Utilizing mobile workstation to print labels accurately and efficiently i.e. Shelf merchandise, Tool Rental, Oops Paint, Clearance labels, Green Tags, EZ Find Label, and Carpet Pod Labels .Conducting system-driven daily counts which are accessed and entered via the Mobile Workstation .Understanding the importance of on-hand accuracy and its necessity to the success of the store and the Forecast & Replenishment system .Ensuring timely and accurate physical counts and cycle count transactions .Reconciling count variances and performs root cause analysis on errors .Partnering with associates, asset protection, supervisors and store management to identify and implement corrective actions .Completing event-driven article counts based on consumption, shrink, stabilization (articles that fall into a negative on-hand status), and centrally-managed counts (based on seasonality ordering) which may be initiated at anytime by Asset Protection, SSC, store management, or others .Monitoring and completing outstanding items which may include, but are not limited to Price Changes/Labeling; Ad Actions; Cycle Counts, Buyer Clearance and Deletion Warnings .Assisting with minor resets and cross merchandising as necessary (including wing-stacks, chip-clips, displays and ads) .Handling block stock statuses .Performs pack-down to be in stock for customers when needed .Maintaining safe, organized and shoppable aisles .Bay Sequencing including clip strips and quarter pallets â?" TBD .Removing and replacing NLP shelf labels in accordance with monthly Play Book Experience/Knowledge Required: The kind of orange weâ?Tre looking for will possess: .Ability to work a flexible schedule including over night shifts and weekends .Knowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures .Pass the validated Sales Associate Test .Experience with the mobile work station .Exceptional customer service skills .Successfully pass the validated Sales Associate Test .Successfully complete any required Training
