Description
Unix Administrator T-minus/T-plus (Unix, Linux, Solaris, Aix), Unix Admin Cutover, Unix App Admin

Accountabilities - UNIX Administrator
o Ability to provide day-to-day support and maintenance of client UNIX environments
o Administer configuration management tools like HP Server Automation (Opsware), CFengine and others
o Troubleshoot and resolve UNIX infrastructure issues.
UNIX Administrator Knowledge
o 5 years of experience in UNIX systems administration in an enterprise environment 5 years experience working with WebSphere application server and IBM MQ series
o Experience with Solaris (8/9/10), AIX (5/6) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4/5
o Ability to configure UNIX and non-UNIX Virtualization technology such as VMware and RHEV.
o Understanding of TCP/IP technologies including DNS, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP and NTP
o Experience with scripting languages such as PHP/sh/bash/Perl
o Familiar understanding of UNIX internals, including kernel settings, network, storage configuration, management and monitoring
o Familiar with automation tools and UNIX scripting
o Experience in the Financial Services sector, particularly around low-latency applications is a plus
o Experience in configuring SAN and NAS connections.
