Product Specialist - Facility Supplies
Calgary, AB
Summary:The Product Specialist, Facility Supplies is responsible for supporting G&T sales representatives in increasing category growth of facilities supplies through new and existing customers. Through provision of product/sales training, sales program education and sales-cycle support, this associate will work with a group of experienced business solutions advisors (sales reps) to identify opportunities and grow accounts within a large, mature base of existing business. Grand & Toy’s Facilities Business Unit manages and markets cleaning & maintenance supplies, food service & breakroom supplies, health & safety supplies, packaging supplies, material handling equipment and environmental control appliances to a broad range of customers across Canada.
Accountabilities:
â- Achieve revenue & gross profit quotas
â- Support business solutions advisors (Sales Reps) in opportunity identification / lead generation
â- Participate regularly in sales calls and support the closing of business
â- Educate, train and develop Facilities expertise in the sales reps workforce
â- Liaise with local vendor / manufacturer personnel coordinating training and selling support efforts
â- Understand and support G&T’s strategic business direction and the fit of its Facility Supplies Business Unit
â- Provide feedback and direction on local competitive activity
â- Collaborate with G&T’s Business Development team to develop required selling tools and marketing collateral
Qualifications
â- Minimum Community College Diploma
â- Minimum 5 years of Facilities selling experience as defined above
â- Proven track record of developing accounts and growing revenue
â- Familiarity with solution selling techniques / methodologies
â- Exceptional interpersonal, communications and networking skills
â- Solid solution selling and negotiation skills
â- Training and mentoring experience
â- Strategic thinker with advanced leadership skills
