Construction project coordinator
Our client is a general contractor and construction management firm in Vancouver. Their focus is on residential, commercial and institutional projects. At the moment they are working on a $25 million office building, 7 storeys concrete and 4 levels of underground parking.
They are looking for a project coordinator to join the superintendent and project manager on this project. This is a permanent position. The ideal candidate is eager to grow further in the organization into the role of junior project manager as a next step.
The Ideal candidate has the following profile:
- Minimum 5 years of experience preferably with a Construction Manager/General Contractor
- A diploma in Building Technology from an institution like BCIT
- Recent experience with commercial and/or institutional projects would be beneficial
- A very good understanding of local construction methods, materials and techniques
- An excellent knowledge and experience within the Lower Mainland construction industry
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent computer skills and proficient with Word, Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Project
- Experience with Timberline PM Software would be a definite asset
