Position Specifics

Position Purpose: Merchandising Execution Area Supervisors (MEAS) directly supervise the activities of Merchandising Execution Associates (MEAs) as they merchandise and maintain various product sets in The Home Depot retail environment to enhance the customer experience, increase sales, and maximize inventory turns. MEASs direct the work priorities of MEA teams based on the directives of the Merchandising Execution Manager (MEM), while building and maintaining strong relationships with HD store personnel to execute merchandising strategy. MEASs service a multi store territory which will require daily travel to different store locations. Position Responsibilities: We're looking for the type of associates who can tap into their inner orange by: ? Supervising the work activities of MEAs within his/her area. Communicate store and MET objectives to MEAs. ? Training and developing MEAs within the work team, through the management of training calendar and curriculum execution. Participate in the interview process for hiring of new MEAs and partner with MEM on recommendations. Provide input into appropriate discipline decisions related to MEAs. ? Providing input to the MEM on performance appraisals of MEAs and make recommendations on promotion of associates in his/her area. Engage in coaching and development for MEA team members. Assist MEAs with merchandising bays, set compliance with planogram, replacing labels, pack down, and building displays. ? Partnering with store leaders to execute merchandising strategies. Direct the activities of the MEA team in his/her area and ensure execution in relation to MET standards. Monitor set compliance with planogram; ensure merchandise is displayed in a neat and appealing manner. ? Directing the team during pack down activities, display builds and merchandising activities. Ensure that POP and signage is ordered and properly set according to planogram. Partner with store leadership to markdown all damaged or UN sellable merchandise. ? Driving execution of one off projects as required by store, district, and regional leadership. ? Utilizing store systems to access key merchandising reports. Read, interpret, and execute action based on findings. ? Partnering with store representative to conduct inspections of returned and damage items for Return to Vendor. Experience/Knowledge Required: The kind of orange we?re looking for will possess: ? 2 years of supervisory experience ? Experience in the Merchandising Execution Associate (MEA) position ? Experience working in retail merchandising service industry or working directly for large scale retailer. ? Basic computer skills with knowledge of web based applications. ? Experience working on teams, with heavy reliance on team to accomplish goals. ? Drives Execution & Self Motivated ? Coaching & Development: Creates a welcoming, associate friendly work environment and demonstrates care and concern for all associates. ? Communication: Displays a high level of responsiveness to customers, store level associates, and district/regional leadership. ? Provides outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
