Syncrude Canada Limited is looking for a Power Electrician Lineman to join our Maintenance Department based in Fort McMurray.

Excellent organization and planning skills
Effective coaching skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal, team participation and communication skills
Distribution / Transmission operations, construction and maintenance knowledge and skills
Safe work skills including a knowledge of safe work and job planning procedures
Ability and willingness to undertake employee-in-charge responsibilities as required

Qualifications

Valid Journeyman Power Lineman Certificate and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
Valid Class 5 Vehicle Operator's License
Class 3 Vehicle Operator's License preferred
Willing to obtain a Class 1 Vehicle Operator's License with air endorsemet
Lineman with a Boom Truck Ticket, Electrician, or Power Systems Electrician preferred or willingness to obtain

Assets include:

Previous experience operating a Digger
Previous standby and troubleshooting experience
Previous experience in the use of high voltage test equipment
Applicants who have successfully completed the Provincial Journeyman exam however have not completed their journeyman hours will be considered

This is a full-time permanent position located in Fort McMurray
