Position Specifics

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Proactively provide outstanding customer service in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Merchandise Store as per Home Depot standards
  • Provides outstanding customer service from initial GREETING TO THE FINAL SALE
  • Assesses customer needs and provides expert advice about available products
  • Demonstrates features and benefits of any product, which may compliment the sale
  • Merchandises and maintains the assigned area to its best image (i.e. displays, presentations, labels, signage, and ordering needs)
  • Participates in ensuring maintenance of department facing, stocking and signing
  • Completes paperwork on price changes
  • Fills stack outs, end caps and clip strips
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must fulfill minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3= in the previous system)
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of customer service
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and willing to take on new challenges and risks
  • Complete all required Product Knowledge training modules
  • Knowledge and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures
  • Highly organized, able to work under pressure and produce high quality work
  • Excellent team player and able to work with people at all levels
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as proven team player skills
  • Mature attitude and a strong work ethic are essential
  • Good decision-making abilities and problem solving skills
  • Willing to work in other areas of the store as needed, especially neighbouring departments
  • Internal applicants must meet minimum time-in-position and performance requirements
  • Previous millwork knowledge/experience an asset
