QA Manager (Materials Handling) (#241906)QUALITY MANAGER
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
-5+ years in Quality Control and Administration;
-Experience in project execution within EPCM environment;
-Experience in various inspection techniques (measurement, destructive and non-destructive testing);
-Solid knowledge of manufacturing and inspections standards;
-Degree in Engineering or diploma in Technology or Industrial Manufacturing.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
-Owns the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensures strict compliance with the same as well as with any other Project / Client specific quality requirements both internally and with external vendors and sub-contractors;
-Prepares all necessary quality documents, during sales and tendering process as well as project execution;
-Conducts physical audits and inspections of procured goods / services and related quality records;
-Quality Management System (QMS) Representative, responsible for implementation, management and certification of internal QMS and compliance with the same, including training of personnel;
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Preparation of Specific Quality Documents;
-Prepares QA/QC documents for sales proposals;
-Prepares Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and ensures compliance with the same throughout project execution;
-Prepares Material Inspection Report for inspected goods and services;
-Prepares Inspection Data Manual (IDM) for Client and Company records at project close-out;
-Auditing, Verification, Witnessing, Corrective Action, Approving;
-Ensures compliance with quality standards in third-party workshops and at construction sites with respect to structural, mechanical, instrumentation and electrical disciplines and also supports quality control of vendors' activities;
-Reviews and approves vendors' and sub-contractors' Welding Procedures (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR);
-Evaluates inspection reports and test results in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements;
-Witnesses Welders Qualification Tests (WQT) at vendors' or sub-contractors' personnel and verifies that work is performed only by qualifying welders;
-Witnesses Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) activities such as Stress Relieving and reviews and approves PWHT records;
-Inspects raw material Mill Test Certificates and ensures proper identification of materials in production with respect to traceability;
-Ensures welding consumables are tested, stored and used in accordance with applicable codes;
-Reviews, corrects and approves suppliers' and sub-contractors' Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements;
-Performs quality compliance audits of suppliers' and sub-contractors' quality systems prior to their selection;
-Reviews and approves Mechanical Test Reports of Test pieces for PQR;
-Studies manufacturing drawings and Bills of Material.
INTERFACES:
-Liaises with senior management regarding QMS and project specific QA/ QC matters;
-Works closely with Project Management, Procurement and Engineering departments on all project specific quality matters;
-Liaises with global company Quality Organization to ensure compliance with global guidelines and initiatives;
-Liaises with external vendors, sub-contractors, inspection agencies and clients' quality personnel.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS) REPRESENTATIVE:
-Implements and manages internal QMS in line with global guidelines;
-Conducts internal QMS audits independently or coordinates with 3rd parties;
-Supports external audits in QMS certification and maintains certification current;
-Ensures prompt corrective / preventive actions for continuous improvement of QMS;
-Develops and implements training programs for all staff in QMS;
-Reports to Management with regard to effectiveness of the QMS and its development.
