Lead Piping Material Controller (#218266)Lead Piping Material Controller Summary: . Monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and quality standards . Determines staffing needs and schedules to meet work requirements reporting to the project piping lead . Provides technical guidance for any piping material issues on the project reporting directly to the piping lead on the project Requirements: . Solid understanding of piping materials line classes, materials codification, and material control . Strong material background as well as analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills and pays careful attention to detail - Possesses strong computer skills with exposure to word-processing and spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel and Access) . Provides operational supervision and technical guidance to assigned personnel - Minimum 10-15 years of EPC piping materials control experience Duties and Responsibilities: . Supervises day to day activities of the piping material control team . Evaluates performance of and counsels assigned personnel . Monitors work for compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design . Organizes and directs the implementation of on the job training of assigned personnel . Establishes and maintains communication with client representatives, project engineers, engineering supervisors in charge of related disciplines and with administrative personnel within the project . Consults with equipment suppliers, technical specialists and client representatives as directed to provide and receive technical information . Preparing line classes -Preparing special items data sheet -Reviewing P&IDs and preparing valve MTOs .
