Position Specifics

Position Purpose:
Computer Room Associates are the Home Depot in-store technology expert. This involves maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting registers, merchandise scanners and other computer equipment. Computer Room Associates are able to fix and troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues, as well as install and maintain computer wiring.
Position Responsibilities:
We're looking for the type of associates who can tap into their inner orange by:
.Providing friendly and courteous customer service to all associates
.Creating and printing all store reports on a daily/weekly basis
.Creating and printing labels for ad events, price changes, clearance, etc.
.Maintaining kronos system and reports discrepancies
.Processing price changes, merchandise and expense purchase orders
.Resolving computer and cash register issues to reduce service calls
.Reviewing daily reports and identifying any issues
.Changing, adding or removing hardware on lan system
.Training associates on kronos and store computer systems
.Proactively checking on and maintaining the functioning of computer equipment used in the store
Experience/Knowledge Required:
The kind of orange we?re looking for will possess:
.Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
.Knowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures
.Advanced computer skills both hardware and software
.Proven analytical and problem solving skills
.Understanding of vault procedures
.Exceptional customer service skills to internal customers
.Ability to be organized and prioritize multiple tasks
.Knowledge of the day to day store operations
