Planning Analyst (#242666)

Our client, in the retail industry, is looking for an organized, analytical, and hands-on Planning Analyst to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work for an exciting brand in the retail space!

Responsibilities
. Create a multi-period demand plan by collecting sales and marketing data and statistical analysis
. Monitor sales and operations planning progress by coordinating with the Sales and Supply Chain teams
. Ensure proper and timely execution of forecasts and sales plan
. Identify forecast error and bias
. Identify constraints, shortfalls, and opportunities
. Develop analytical tools and reports to maximize sales and reduce slow-moving inventory
. Translate the demand plan to new financial forecasts
. Develop the rolling monthly financial forecasts and annual operating budget
. Analyze and forecast discount levels
. Ad-hoc analysis as required

Requirements
. BBA or equivalent with a concentration in finance
. CGA, CMA, or CA designation an asset
. At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
. Thorough knowledge of statistical planning, marketing, and supply chain operations
. Advanced Excel skills, including spreadsheet and database management
. Experience giving presentations to senior management
