Intermediate to Senior Highway Designer/Engineer (#215353)Description: The successful candidate will participate in the delivery of multidisciplinary Highway Design projects from rural highways to freeway type facilities. Responsibilities will include highway design and design guidance to other team members as well as a wide range of project requirements including but not limited to technical analysis and design, report preparation, cost estimating, the preparation and review of drawings, contract specifications/documentation, as well as liaison with all discipline team members, sub-consultants, clients and agencies. Requirements: Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or Technologist from accredited college Five to fifteen years of relevant experience; Eligible for professional licensing with PEO or OACETT is an asset; Experience with all aspects of highway / freeway design (e.g. alignments, geometrics, staging, utilities, roadside safety); Experience with technical writing, minute preparation etc.; Ability to estimate design level of effort, meet milestone schedule deliverables etc.; Understanding of traffic engineering principles Ability to lead and mentor other engineers / technicians; Ability to communicate with a wide range of sub-consultants; General understanding of other road design requirements(e.g. drainage / hydraulic design, environmental design / mitigation measures, engineering surveys, geotechnical investigations and design); General understanding of QA / QC as well as OH&S practices / requirements; Ability to work with various software packages (i.e. InRoads, CAD, Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Project and Power Point); Recognized by the Ministry of Transportation (of Ontario) as a Project Engineer or Highway Designer is an asset; If you have the qualifications listed, please forward your resume to chris.rocheleau@randstad.ca
