Engineering Manager - Winnipeg Manufacturing (#243196)

Our client, a world leader in their field, requires an Engineering Manager for their New Winnipeg based location.

In this role you will be responsible for all company engineering initiatives. Other responsibilities will include submission and maintenance of various product certifications, oversight of the companies Engineering program, sales and production support, along with training and supervision of the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities include:
.Design submissions to all provincial regulatory bodies (ABSA, TSSA, etc.) for Canadian Registration Numbers;
.Product submission and certification with Electrical Authorities in North America and worldwide (CSA, FM, ATEX, IEC, etc.);
.Maintain and develop all procedures and qualifications;
.Aide in development of new commercial products;
.Assist in the training of junior Engineers;
.Design test procedures and equipment;
.Provide engineering support for all production and manufacturing activities;
.Provide engineering support for Canadian Sales Departments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
.A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an appropriate related engineering discipline;
.Minimum of 5 years practical experience;
.Detailed knowledge of industry standards including CSA/FM electrical approvals;
.Must be familiar with database and spreadsheet applications e.g. Microsoft Office;
.Must have exceptional organizational skills and written and verbal communications skills;
.Must possess the ability to conduct program launches and deal effectively with customers.
