Pharmacovigilance Specialist

Contract: ASAP until Dec. 2013
Location: Kirkland
Bilingual: French & English
Hours: 8:00-4:30 (37.5 hours/week)

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

- B. Sc. in Health sciences (pharmacy, nursing, medicine)
- 3-5 years' experience in Pharmacovigilance
- Well-organized, strong ability to manage several projects and priorities at the same time to meet tight deadlines
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong customer-oriented attitude, team spirit and ability to establish effective relationships
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical, and of the industry's laws and regulations
- Practical knowledge of computer hardware and software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bilingual: French & English (oral & written)

Responsibilities:

- Under supervision of the Director Pharmacovigilance
- Evaluate, translate and process product complaint reports associated with marketed and investigational products
- Identify and request additional information on domestic product complaint reports
- Apply and/or develop processes and SOPs
- Using knowledge of Health Canada PV requirements, apply these requirements to day-to-day activities
- Support and participate in activities related to Pharmacovigilance audits and inspections
- Work closely with other collaborators, both within the organization and outside
