English to French Technical Translator / Reviser
POSITION LOCATION: This position is based in Toronto. We advertise in various locations to raise the visibility of this opportunity for those interested in relocating.
Our client, a growing translation company, seeks to engage an English to French Technical Translator / Reviser with experience in petroleum, energy and / or pharmaceutical industries, translating a wide variety of texts specific to the business needs. This includes: promotional material, corporate communications, human resources, product information, training materials, sales presentation, merchandising material, etc.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
A Technical Translator / Reviser who has a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Translation.
A Technical Translator / Reviser who has experience translating for the petroleum, energy and / or pharmaceutical industries.
A Technical Translator / Reviser who is perfectly bilingual in English and French with excellent oral and written communication in both languages.
Manage projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Participate in the development of standards or norms for business terms.
Contribute to developing and coaching translators in a less senior position.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Translation.
An experienced translator / reviser with minimum 5 years experience in the petroleum, energy and / or pharmaceutical industries.
An entrepreneurial person capable to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Perfectly bilingual in both English and French, oral and written.
Capable of working independently, strong initiative, professional and big picture orientation.
Experience in the petroleum, energy field a definite asset.
Disciplined, precise, organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
Adaptable, flexible, capable to work effectively under stress.
