Facilities Integrity Engineer (#264046)

Facilities Integrity Engineer

Our client is a Fortune 500 Midstream company specializing in Natural Gas and Oil transportation. They are looking to add to their Crude oil group and have recognized the need for an Integrity engineer who specializes in Facilities.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
As a member of the Technical Services group the successful candidate will be based in Calgary and will primarily be responsible for the continuous development and implementation of the facilities integrity management programs for the a 1400km pipeline system. This position reports to the Manager, Pipeline Integrity.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
. Participates in the development, implementation, maintenance and updating of the Facility Integrity Management Program and associated technical documents.
. Provides subject matter expertise and specialized knowledge in facility integrity with direct experience in midstream assets such as terminals, tank farms and pump stations on liquids pipeline systems.
. Assists in the development and implementation of integrity-related programs such as inspection programs to assess, monitor and mitigate integrity hazards in facilities.
. Participates in ongoing risk assessments of facilities on the Pipeline System.
. Supports regulatory compliance efforts by preparing for, attending and responding to audits.
. Completes engineering assessments on integrity related issues.
. Provides facilities engineering technical support to regional staff, Operations & Engineering, as required.
. Provides continuous improvement to the Facilities Integrity Program.
. Prepares request for proposals for integrity related studies and services.
. Manages third party consultants, vendors and contractors, as required.
. Provides mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in Technical Services.
Minimum Qualifications:
o Registered Professional Engineer or eligible for registration with APEGA
o Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
. Minimum of 5 - 10 years of relevant facilities integrity management experience on Canadian and US petroleum liquids systems
. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Strong organizational skills and works well in a team environment

Desired Qualifications:
. A working knowledge of applicable regulations and industry standards such as 49 CFR Part 195, NEB, CSA, ASME and API
. Experience in a facilities engineer role with a strong background in risk identification and preventative and mitigative maintenance
. Experience with various integrity assessment methods and inspection technologies for facility piping, tanks and other facility assets
. Possess strong project management skills used in the development of project documents such as project scope, schedule, cost analysis and field execution plans


P.Eng (Must Have)
API, ASME, NFPA 20, CWB, OH&S and ANSI Standards (Must Have)
