Project HSE Engineering Manager (#264049)

PROJECT HSE ENGINEERING MANAGER

Our client is a global leader in EPC O&G projects and is looking to add to their Calgary team.

Role:

. Ensure correct development, management and implementation of the Project HSE Management system throughout the Project phases, from engineering to construction in strict accordance with Client HSE requirements, Internal HSE Standards, applicable local legislation and International Standards

. Plan and coordinate the activities of all the HSE personnel working both in design and construction activities.

. Conduct regular internal Project audit to Project site and subcontractors to verify compliance with project HSE management systems and issue an audit report.

. Define Project HSE objectives and identify Project HSE requirements to be applied for the entire Project cycle.

. Coordinate the Project HSE Risk Management process and ALARP concept through the preparation of specific Project HSE deliverables (HSE Critical Equipment and Systems, Hazard & Effect register, HSE case, etc).

. Coordinate and develop Project safety design activities (HAZIDs, HAZOPs, SIL and LOPA studies) and relative action tracking follow up.

. Ensure the review of Project documents on Loss prevention and environmental design activities (fire proofing, hazardous area classification, fire protection, risk analysis, noise studies, air quality studies, environmental plans, etc).

. Coordinate the preparation of Project HSE plans, HSE manuals and procedures for construction and commissioning, Health plans (including Medical Evacuation plan), Site emergency response plans.

. Assist construction teams in the preparation and management of construction HSE risk assessment.

Experience and Skills Required:

. BS or MS in Engineering

. 10+ years experience in oil and gas field. Preference given to Oil and Gas Projects in Alberta.

. Skilled in technical safety risk assessment tools (such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Bow tie analyses, QRA and consequence modeling)

. Good knowledge of HSE risk decision making and process safety management systems

. Strong technical writing skills

. Ability to work in team and developing multiple tasks

. Critical thinking

. Organizational and prioritization skills

. Attention to detail
