  • Construction - Commercial & industrial (ICI), heavy civil, institutional, mechanical & electrical, and roads & highways.
  • Consulting Engineering - Building sciences, building services, environmental & geotechnical, municipal, structural, and transportation.
  • Manufacturing - Aerospace, automation, automotive/ off road vehicles, building materials, electronics, equipment & machinery, and food & beverage.
  • Natural Resources - Energy, mining, oil & gas, and pulp & paper.

Inspection Services Coordinator (#264143)

. The Review of Material Requisitions and definition of specific quality requirements and supplier data submission requirements.
. Reviewing Purchase Order (PO) scopes and associated inspection requirements and establish a register and budget.
. Preparing a detailed inspection scope based on Project Inspection Plan.
. Evaluation of available Internal or External inspection personnel; confirm availability and conformation to Client requirements.
. Developing an Inspection Assignment Package and issuing Package to the assigned inspector.
. Coordination of Project inspection activities.
. Issuing of Project Inspection Reports.
. Confirmation of technical compliance and resolution of design changes.
. Coordinating resolution of Quality Non-Conformances and Deficiencies.

Job Requirements

. 3 years' experience as an Inspection Coordinator and typically 10 years relevant industry experience.
. Certification as an Inspector (CWB II, AWS, CGSB) would be an asset.
. Thorough understanding of the principles and practice of supplier inspection management and the implementation and improvement of supplier management systems.
. Team player with excellent leadership skills.
. Communication skills - verbal, written - to report standard.
. Strong coordination skills.
. Demonstrable capabilities in quality planning and resourcing for projects.
. Experience in managing a team of inspectors.

Reporting and Location:
. This position is located in Edmonton, Alberta.
. Position reports to the Inspection Services Manager.
