IT Communications and Training Coordinator

Salary
$35.77 - $38.88 per hour

Position Purpose
Reporting to the Program Manager, IT Policies, Communications and Training, is responsible for communicating all Branch service and activity updates to internal customers and Council and for ensuring all customers are trained on the effective and efficient use of Regional technology; developing and implementing ITS communication plans and procedures, assessing training needs and coordinating training for technology rollouts; and performing administration functions, as required.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a College Diploma in Communications, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three years (3) experience in communications including research, analysis, implementation and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience in a training or coordination function.
  • Valid Ontario Class "G" driver's licence and reliable vehicle for use on corporate business.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self management, accountability and flexibility/adaptability.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and tools for effective and efficient communication and technology training from needs assessment through to implementation.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to assess customer needs with respect to communication and training and recommend solutions in line with an organization's strategic direction, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and presentation skills as they relate to Adult Education and facilitation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of budget administration process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Research, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work outside regular business hours as required.
