Sales Training Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, approval and the successful execution of key account and retail training and development programs for the Sales organization of over 380 colleagues
  • Specific areas of involvement are: Curriculum development, training execution, training measurement and communications
  • Create and manage a new e-learning platform to support ongoing training needs
  • Manage a budget of approximately $300,000 CAD
  • Independently lead the design, development and implementation of the Sales learning programs for National Sales and team specific initiatives.
  • Conduct regular needs analysis with key members of the Sales Leadership Teams and the VP Sales to uncover key performance gaps and develop programming to fill gaps.
  • Unlock Customer Category Manager skills gaps to drive Sales growth
  • Design personal skill-building processes and tools for individual use and assessment. (PDP process)
  • Manage and communicate the Corporate Core curriculum process on behalf of the function
  • Create and lead long-term Sales Training and Development plan to support the Sales and Marketing strategies for driving growth

Requirments:

  • Bachelors in business / other relevant field
  • Experience creating training programs and materials with in-depth knowledge Sales within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Strong experience with in-class training as well as e-learning modules
  • Advanced proficiency in share point, PowerPoint and e-learning software
  • Ideal candidate would be a highly motivated self-starter who has had experience in aggressively pursuing objectives, is assertive with regards to policy matters and is action oriented
  • Team player with strong analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
