Job Description


Corporate Learning and Workforce Development Specialist 15176

Salary
Salary $78,078 - $88,475 annually

Position Purpose
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Learning and Workforce Development, is responsible for focusing on workforce development and corporate learning; assessing, designing, delivering and evaluating corporate learning courses, opportunities, programs and initiatives; providing performance consulting to address the performance needs of individuals, teams and Departments; facilitating internal career development programs; and facilitating organizational effectiveness initiatives, as requested.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a University Degree in Adult Education or Human Resources or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in adult facilitation, performance consulting, program assessment, design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Knowledge required to provide career counselling to internal staff, including familiarity with the Career Development Cycle.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in applying adult learning principles and practices, instructional design, needs analysis, delivery, measurement and evaluative methods.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to utilize a variety of learning mediums including electronic presentation technologies, integrated multimedia and on-line learning technologies, video conferencing and in-house classroom design.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self management, accountability, flexibility and adaptability.
  • Understanding of management theory and practice in order to advise and assist management staff.
  • Excellent training, facilitation, presentation, communication, research and writing skills.
  • Strong program management and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications including proficiency in word processing and presentation applications and in conducting internet research/searches; familiarity with e-learning software, learning management systems, and web-based evaluation tools.
  • Ability to foster collaborative working relationships, both within and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to travel to off site locations in a timely and efficient manner, as required.
  • Ability to work outside regular business hours, as required.
