Lead Project Engineer - Gas Processing (#265408)

Lead Project Engineer Gas Processing

Scope of Work:

-Lead a process engineering team in a high energy manufacturing environment
-Reporting directly to the Process Engineering Supervisor, the Lead Engineer would be in charge of a team of individuals designing and building large gas processing facilities
-Mentoring junior engineers and working with our fabrication department to see the project come to life in our facility every day
-Team leads in this position are responsible for all aspects of their team's projects from design through to commissioning

Main Duties:

-Design process flow and piping / instrument diagrams
-Review general arrangements and 3D Model
-Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness on responsible projects
-Take part in HAZOP and SIL review meetings
-Implement project specifications
-Size PSV's and control valves based on process information
-Size vessels and piping based on process information
-Complete final checks on P&ID's Models and other project deliverables


-Engineering degree required, in mechanical or chemical preferred
-Professional engineer designation
-Working knowledge of gas processing and fabrication
-Experience in pressure vessel and piping design is required.
-ASME Section VIII and B31.3 helpful but not required
-Experience sizing pressure relief valves, control valves and piping will be considered an asset
-Experience with Hysis process simulation software will be considered an asset
